Tarling Family History
at  tarling.myfamily.com

We've run out of space at www.tarling.net and we wanted a more secure web site where we could add more data, including 20th. Century data. My Family.com as we have it set up, provides us up to 105MB of web space and is password protected.
So the Tarling myfamily.com website contains a lot of the raw data in the Tarling database which is not included here in www.tarling.net  In particular for Tarling it contains UK 20th. century vital records (births and marriages to 1949, deaths to 1979), extended Commonwealth War Deaths records, UK Wills and Admons 1858 to 1969;  UK marriage partners July 1837 to 1911; the UK 1901, 1891, 1881 and 1871 census for Tarling, 1861 Essex Tarling, and various UK 1851 census for Tarling (including London area, Middlesex and Essex), English Origins records (including Boyd's Marriage Index for Essex before 1837), many miscellaneous USA and Canadian vital and census records and Ellis Island records. There is also a monster 5MB text file of the raw database records from a while back (since when it's become too large to repeat that).  That site is also the noticboard for most active Tarling family history researchers - 'unwanted' certificates, offer of searches, photos and family trees are all there.

The main details for the Tarling surname genetic DNA study will also be on the Tarling myfamily.com website.

The Tarling myfamily.com website is free to all Tarling database contributers.  We have a guest account there, so if you want to take a look first please let us know and we will pass on the password.  Similarly if you are a database contributor and you would like an account please just let us know - no problem. The only bad news is that it has small internal adverts, is sometimes a bit slow or forgetful and the format is very rigid - but if you know anything better do please let us know.
