Sooty carried

Sooty's Guide to Humans.

They are very strange animals - nobody knows what they think or why they do some of the things they do, but they can be useful if you train them properly.

Humans seem to come in 3 main varieties. 1] hairy-legs that smell like animals - I've found that if you sit on their laps it is best NOT to plump them up with your claws first. 2] smooth legs that often smell like fruit or flowers (or even male musk deer) - often the best variety: they feed you and care for you and 3] small humans - very unpredicatable: sometimes feed you and give you attention, but at other times they just make a noise.

HUNTING. Humans are peculiar animals - they seem to have lots of food but you don't see them hunt - I think they hunt when they go away during the day. When I make a catch and bring it to them to add to our stocks they never seem very pleased and rarely use it to try to improve their hunting skills. When I brought a juicy frog into the kitchen early one morning smooth legs just stepped on it in her bare paws and screamed. However they both went hunting when I brought them a mouse in bed early one morning - in fact they jumped up and rushed around searching for it - that was great fun. They are hopeless at birds: they feed them in order to entice them but rarely try to catch them.
