Recommended Tradesmen and Women.
Quite a few burglaries are committed after rogue or cowboy traders have
visited and people often feel ripped off by dodgy workmen, so in May 1998
we proposed to set up this Services Directory. MANY THANKS to everyone
who has contributed to the lists. We have set up this register of
recommended tradesmen and women and free copies are now given out at our
meetings to anyone who has contributed. The list is of trusted, safe, reliable
and good value people in a number of fields including builders, decorators,
plumbers, electricians, window cleaners, locksmiths, motor mechanics, garage
door & metal gate suppliers & installers, house-sitters, alarm
installers etc. We would welcome more and also anything further such as
minicab firms, tree-surgeons, cleaners, gardeners, aerial fitters, carpet
cleaners, double-glazing firms etc. etc. Thanks to the Hillfield
Park Neighbourhood Watch for some bright ideas to help compile this list.

along to the next Saint Joseph's Neighbourhood Watch meeting. Use the form
occasionally sent out with a newsletter or print the
form on this page (as below, but designed to be printed out) and fill
it in, or on any bit of paper write down: the name, phone number, and trade
of your recommendation(s), and your name; please add any brief comments.
Sorry we will not be accepting recommendations by e-mail (because only
members can recommend). You may want to check with the person concerned
before recommending them. Please feel free to attach a business card or
any such details for the persons you are recommending.
