Saint Joseph's
Neighbourhood Watch
(Upper Norwood, London, U.K.)

Thanks to...

THANKS: Firstly we must thank you for indulging us and reading our pages.

We believe we are the largest internet site for an individual UK Neighbourhood Watch. We believe we are also the first Croydon Borough Neighbourhood Watch site on the internet, the first Metropolitan Police S.E. London area Neighbourhood Watch site on the internet and the third London area Neighbourhood Watch site on the internet and the largest London area Neighbourhood Watch site on the Internet.

Our Thief page is especially for local house-breakers, car thieves, burglars and vandals only; and despite this it seems extrodinarily popular - you have been warned not to visit our Thief page unless you really qualify.

Particular thanks are due to Hugh Norwood Collins our Chief Co-ordinator, everyone involved in the history of our Neighbourhood Watch.

We are grateful to vino our Web host, for the space and assistance.

We thank Demon Internet our excellent ISP who on 3rd. July 1998 kindly doubled our web space (and added another 5MB in early 1999).

This site was prepared using Netscape Communicator 4.07 and checked on Netscape Navigator Gold 3.01 and Internet Explorer 3.

Thanks especially go to our Systems Consultant who because he works for the U.S. Embassy in London on web security matters must remain nameless.

e-mail: If you want to contact St. Joseph's Neighbourhood Watch and live or have a business in the area please come to our next meeting. We would be pleased to receive any e-mail related to this site, and promise to read it all and reply where appropriate. However we don't want junk e-mail, so before you send us anything you should first read the vino mailto agreement page, then e-mail us at sjnw@vino.demon.co.uk We would particularly like to hear any comments on the content and from any N.W. webmasters who would like to trade links with this site.

Possible future pages (according to demand, enthusiasm and writs) may include:

  • Sorry: we were planning a "Spot the bobby on the beat" competition with Grand Prizes (and little chance of winning), but now P.C. Paul Moore has come along we have abandoned that idea and all prizes are hereby withdrawn.
  • a brief summary of progress through 1995 and 1996;
  • a list of insurance companies offering Neighbourhood Watch discounts;
  • a compilation of pictures from our CCTV and digital cameras;
  • and the blackmail of a number of persons found visiting our thief page (and an auction of their passwords). Yes: this includes you:
