HO 107 1837  Folio 33 p21  North Wiltshire in the District of Calne:

All that part of the Parish of Bremhill commencing from the Cross Roads near the Dumb Post Inn, extending to Wick Hill, Tytherton, Bremhill Grove, Harce (?) Street, Foxham, Avon, and all the adjacent places in this Parish.

In the portion of Bremhills Parish called Avon, there is no House. There is a distinct Parish of "Avon" in Chippenham District.

A detached portion of Bremhill called "Scot's Mill" is surrounded by Chippenham Parish and is not included in the Calne District, communicated this fact to the Chippenham Registrar but received no reply.
